Caroline is one of six sisters and three brothers. She went to primary school at Stirling Station, a cattle station near Tennant Creek, and then to high school at Kormilda College in Darwin. She returned to Ti Tree (near Stirling Station) where she worked with the Community Development Education Program. She descends from a  family of stellar artists from  ’Utopia’, headed by the late, great Emily Kngwarreye, and continued by her great aunts  Kathleen Petyarre, and  Gloria Petyarre.  Having received tutelage from her famously artistic Aunties  – Gloria and Kathleen and Dreamings passed down the generations,   her professional painting career started in 2000.  She is also related to the famous painter, Margaret Scobie.

Themes:

Her art expresses Medicine Leaves (from the Kurrajong plant) and Mountain Thorny Devil Lizard Dreamings. Caroline is now based in Darwin, along with her sisters – who are also emerging artists. She travels back to her homelands regularly. She is married with six children.

Caroline is an emerging artist whose work  is bought and sold around the world by  institutions, galleries and art lovers.
